NBA JJ Redick and Bronny James

Under the spotlight despite its status as the end of the second round of Draft, Bronny James did not spend a rookie season like the others. His coach JJ Redick did not hesitate for a second, however, when evaluating his pro -days in pro.

As the son of LeBron James, it is impossible for him to go unnoticed as soon as he was searches for a parquet. In this sense, Bronny will therefore not have experienced a quiet year in the Lakers when the least of his performances was scrutinized. It was quickly found that he was not yet ready to play a role in the big league and he therefore spent a good part of the G League campaign instead.

Rather convincing in the NBA anteroom with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 medium assists, the King son should probably not play during the playoffs. The time is therefore up to the balance sheet for the rookie, including on the part of his coach. That's good, JJ Redick praised her as rarely when doing his evaluation:

JJ Redick Dightness on the professional beginnings of Bronny

I give him an A+. The way he personally managed the attention, good or bad, never made him lose his character. He is the same every day and he does not allow himself to be impressed by good things, nor by bad, and he continues to work. I think Zach (Guthrie) and his team did a phenomenal job with him when he was at South Bay Lakers.

He improved and we saw it in particular, I attended a few first games and I saw his confidence grow from October, November, until the second part of the G League season, after the showcase, it was phenomenal. And I think that each time he entered the field for us in the second half of the season, you can see this level of confidence and comfort.

He is a guy who can be said things and who does not let them affect his work or his attitude. I told him that I was convinced that he would be part of our long -term rotation.

Difficult to be more complimentary on the part of the tactician, who has not lost a crumb of what his foal achieved this year. The latter can feel confident after such remarks, which show how Redick is counting on its progression in the coming months. Lakers fans are also of the same opinion as the ex-shooter, particularly appreciating the ability of the rookie to ignore (very) many criticisms:

@JLawsonCasey : I agree with JJ, Bronny does not respond to negative comments and it is a sign of maturity as a man.

JJ Redick does not go there by four paths, Bronny James made an excellent first professional year in his eyes. Not necessarily vis-à-vis his performance in the NBA, but rather in relation to his impeccable professionalism. Not bad at all.
