Former Jets C Nick Mangold announced that he was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease and is seeking a kidney donor with type O blood. “In 2006, l was diagnosed with a genetic defect that has led to chronic kidney disease. After a rough summer, I’m undergoing dialysis as we look for a kidney transplant. I always knew this day would come, but I thought I would have had more time,” Mangold wrote. “Unfortunately, I do not have any family able to donate at this time, so this is why I’m reaching out to you, our NY Jets and Ohio State communities. Browns WR David Bell has announced his retirement from the NFL. After a dislocated hip cost him the 2024 season, Bell had surgery and has been on the NFI list all of 2025 to this point. Citing an off-field injury, Bell released a statement that playing football could “literally risk life and limb.” Thoughts and prayers for David’s health and continued recovery.
