For next season, Medhi Benatia intends to hit hard by attracting a taulier in the back. After aborted attempts for Kalidou Koulibaly and Beno\u00eet Badiashile, the Marseille sports director now has a clear priority: Aymeric Laporte. The Spanish international defender, now in Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, very much appeals to the recruitment cell. His experience, his clean recovery and his leadership would have the defense boss who has been looking for OM for several seasons. But to advance the file, a capital condition must be met.<\/p>\n<h2>Champions League or nothing<\/h2>\n<p>The transfer of Aymeric Laporte will only be triggered if OM won a place in the Champions League. This is the condition set internally, both financial and sporting. Estimated at 15 million euros, the operation remains affordable for the Marseille club, provided that European income is ensured. For his part, the player would be seduced by a return to Europe, and Marseille represents an ideal setting to relaunch his high -level career. But without the prestigious C1, it is difficult to imagine Laporte to settle down on the Canebi\u00e8re this summer.<\/p>\n<h2>Benatia keeps the course, Laporte at the top of the list<\/h2>\n<p>Determined to offer a solid workforce to Roberto de Zerbi for the 2025-2026 season, Medhi Benatia is advancing in the shadows. Other tracks are studied, but Aymeric Laporte (30 years old) remains at the top of the list.
