Kellie Harper is no stranger to Southeastern Conference basketball, nor to the pressure that comes with coaching in it. As a former Lady Vol point guard under the late, legendary Pat Summitt, Harper carved out a legacy defined by poise, grit, and championships. Now, the former Tennessee star is taking on a new challenge\u2014this time at the helm of the Missouri Tigers women\u2019s basketball program. In a full-circle move that brings her back to SEC sidelines, Harper steps into a pivotal role in Columbia, where her championship pedigree and leadership experience could reshape the program\u2019s trajectory.<\/p>\n

This marks a fresh start not only for Harper, but for a Missouri team in search of stability, identity, and a return to national relevance. Before she was a coach, Kellie Harper (then Kellie Jolly) was one of the most respected floor generals in college basketball. As the starting point guard for the Tennessee Lady Volunteers from 1995 to 1999, she led the team to three consecutive national championships<\/strong> from 1996 to 1998\u2014a feat that etched her into program lore forever. She played with toughness, unselfishness, and an uncanny ability to run the offense that Pat Summitt built into a powerhouse.<\/p>\n
