Women's OL organized a “Wouf match” this Saturday, April 12: a hundred dogs, accompanied by their masters, were in the stands to attend the match against Paris FC. The opportunity for the club to attract a new audience in the stadium.

While some doggies have occupied their weekend by gambling in parks or bringing a bullet to their owner, a hundred dogs attended a shock from Arkéma first league at Groupama Stadium this Saturday, April 12.

Olympique Lyonnais, in partnership with its Kléber sponsor, organized the operation “The Wouf match” during Ol-Paris FC. Dog owners could go to the stadium for free if they were accompanied by their faithful companion. An invitation for a loved one was also offered.

Studded in the arms of their owners, there were a hundred to be present in the stands to attend the meeting, which ended on the score of 2-2. A great way to attract new inseparable supporters from their pet.

“A golden opportunity”

“It's surprising as an activity but we love it. I am not used to coming to the stadium, I was attracted when I saw the announcement,” explains Olivier in front of the stadium.

For Emma, going to the stands with her dog to attend a match with the first female division was “a golden opportunity”. “I'm too happy,” she told BFM Lyon.

A forum was specially dedicated to supporters accompanied by their dog. Strict rules, such as the obligation to keep your dog on a leash, have been put in place so that the experience takes place in the hair.

“Being sure that the animal is not dangerous (…), that it is vaccinated. We have veterinarians, carpets to pee, bowls to drink and eat,” explains Olivier Jaubert, director of income for Women. This highlights “all an organized device”. The concept was a real success this Saturday and could be renewed in the future.
