Far from the playoffs this season, the Spurs sunk in this second part of the countryside, even when Victor Wembanyama was still there. A disappointment for everyone, even if the organization could have a little luck by obtaining a big choice at the draft. A Cooper Flagg could quickly console the franchise.
But for that it will take the first choice, as in 2023. Suffice to say that it is not won, the Texans do not have the best chances this season. Summer will therefore be followed by many fans in order to relaunch the machine and offer a better roster to Victor Wembanyama. And a first target is already emerging in San Antonio.
An extra star among spurs?
To better understand, you have to look at the side of the Suns. Despite great ambitions, the franchise will miss the play-in and we can say it say: it is a huge fiasco. Kevin Durant was cited to finish with the Spurs, but Bradley Beal too. Journalist John Gambadoro confirms that an interest exists for the rear.
But there is a twist. Indeed, no one wants to recruit Beal via Trade, which means that the Suns may have to cut it and spread their (very important) salary over several years. This is where the Spurs would like to be interested in the player and offer him a fairly low contract and an opportunity to revive in Texas.

After a maximum contract and filthy performance with the Suns, we can say that Beal is a very cleansing player in the NBA. But teams will want to offer him a new chance, with Spurs already on the spot. Does the prospect of playing with Wembanyama enchant him? It is not impossible at all.
Bradley Beal will move from Suns this summer, but we don't know his future destination yet. Spurs make sense, however, it may not be the favorite target of supporters at this stage. We will know more in a few weeks.
