The Italian Interior Ministry announced this Wednesday the stopping of the Italian championship meetings at risk, in the evening, from next season. A decision made, in part, because of the violence seen at the Rome derby this weekend, between the supporters of the two Roman clubs.
The risk meetings of the Italian football championship will no longer take place in the evening next season, decided the Italian interior ministry in reaction to the violence that preceded the Rome derby on Sunday.
“During the 2025-26 season, it will no longer be permissible to give the start of risk meetings, as happened for the match between Lazio and Roma“Said the Ministry of the Interior on Tuesday evening in a communication at the Italian Football Federation (FIGC). According to Italian agencies Ansa and AGE, the Ministry of the Interior also struck the Lazio and AS Rome supporters with a travel ban for the next three matches outside their teams.

These announcements follow the violent clashes between ultra Roman clubs and the police, before “Derby of the capital“, Counting for the 32nd day of Serie A, which ended in a draw (1-1).
