The Italian coach said he would wait for the end of the championship to talk about his future with Madrid leaders.

Carlo Ancelotti and Real Madrid will discuss the future of the Italian in the Spanish club at the end of the season, the coach announced on Saturday, a few days after the elimination of the Madrilenians in the quarterfinals of the Champions League.

“At the end of the season, we will talk about my future with the club”Ancelotti said at a press conference, answering several questions about the same subject.

The 65 -year -old coach's contract runs until 2026 but the elimination of Real Madrid in the quarter -final of the Champions League against Arsenal on Wednesday launched speculations around a departure from Ancelotti in the coming weeks.

“Obviously we are all affected after being eliminated from the competition which is perhaps the most important, or at least that in which Madrid has experienced the most success in recent years”underlined Ancelotti.

“I spoke with the players and the club, we all agree, we have to fight for the titles that are at stake”he continued before the reception of Athletic Bilbao in Liga on Sunday.

The Spanish champion is only four points behind FC Barcelona, a leader seven days from the end and will play the King Cup final against the Blaugrana on April 26.

“We are all in the same boat, in good and bad times … The president (Florentino Perez) has always shown me more affection in these moments than in those where we won”added the Madrid coach.

Ancelotti did not specify if the planned discussion “At the end of the season” would take place before or after the Club World Cup in which Real will participate from June 14 in the United States.
