It looks like Cristiano Ronaldo already has a foot off the field. The star of the round ball has just joined forces with Matthew Vaughn, the director of Kingsman et Argyto launch Ur • Marv, an independent production studio which intends to shake up the cinema codes by “kissing innovative technologies, with a nod to tradition”.
A partnership that has already borne fruit since two action films have been produced, while a third is in development, all three being part of the same franchise whose details will soon be revealed.
A superhero fan
“It is a new exciting chapter for me, while I plan to new adventures,” said Cristiano Ronaldo in a press release published by Variety. But the sportsman is not his first attempt in the field of entertainment, since he had already invested in the Portuguese media group Medialivre last October, before launching his Youtube channel “Ur Cristiano” this summer.
“Cristiano created stories on the field that I could never have written, and I can't wait to create inspiring films with him – it's a real superhero,” said Matthew Vaughn.
