Drafted by Charlotte last June, Tidjane Salaün has therefore become one of the new teammates of Lamelo Ball in North Carolina. The French rookie has also expressed himself about the local superstar and their cohabitation, after the end of the season.

As we know, landing in a good environment is essential for rookies in the NBA. Unfortunately for Tidjane Salaün, he did not shoot the best batch by landing at the Hornets. Having still squatted the lowlands of the conference is this season (19-63, 14th), the Buzz City franchise seems to be there to stay there for a while, despite the presence of a star of the Lamelo Ball caliber.

It may also be suitable for the latter this summer, although he rejected any rumor of desire for departure. It would be a big loss for the hornets because the leader is a certainly whimsical player, but whose style of play ended up convincing his teammates. Tidjane Salaün has not been praised about it with French media:

Tidjane Salaün very frank on the style of play of Lamelo Ball

It was impressive, frankly. Already, it is sure that you have to adapt to him, because we are not going to hide it, everyone knows, it's a game as I heard people say, he plays with airpods. It's funny because in fact it is true that his game, it is enough … His game, he is really original in the sense that he gives you things of phew, he really makes you movements of phew.

You have to know how to adapt to him and really understand his game, because you cannot come and for example, moving normally with him sometimes. You have to know him a bit and know what is best, what he wants sometimes. But frankly yeah, it was impressive because it was one of the players on which I had an eye before coming here. He's an impressive player and it's quite stylish, how he plays. Inevitably to play with him, frankly, it was still cool, you see.

Like some geniuses of the orange ball before him like Jason Kidd or Steve Nash, the brother of Lonzo practices an all except conventional game on the parquet floors. Unfortunately for Charlotte, this has not yet been reflected in victories … But if not seeing their team win, fans have the right to show.

Playing alongside Lamelo Ball is not the most obvious, but Tidjane Salaün claims to have accommodated it over time. It remains to be seen whether they will one day be able to lead the Hornets to the heights of the Eastern Conference. It may take time.
