The quarterfinals of European competitions allowed France to slightly consolidate its 5th place in the UEFA index, but especially in Spain to validate its Bonus place for the Champions League next season.

This 5th place grants three direct qualifying places for the Champions League and a fourth ticket via the qualification towers. But it benefits from the 1.5 point supplement reported by PSG for qualification. As a reminder, the calculation requires dividing the points obtained by the number of clubs engaged on the European scene at the start of the season (seven for France).
Five Spanish clubs in the Champions League … or even six
In the Top 4, which has fused, major education is that Spain is now guaranteed to have the bonus place for the Champions League next season. With the new format, two additional tickets are allocated to the two best countries in the current season in the UEFA index.

There will therefore be five Spanish clubs in the Champions League next season. Perhaps six, if Bilbao won the Europa League without finishing in the top 4 in the league.
