The verdict fell, and it's not really a surprise, Kenny Atkinson was elected “Coach of the Year” by his peers, succeeding Mark Daigneault (OKC). It is a return in grace for Kenny Atkinson, who had taken a step back, first as assistant to the Clippers (2020-2021) then to the Warriors (2021-2024) after a first remarkable experience as “Head Coach” in Nets (2016-2020).

Kenny Atkinson also expressed his gratitude, the election by his peers of the best coach of the League still having a particular flavor, pending that of the “Coach of the Year”, which will be announced later during the Playoffs.

The individual awards are special, but I have to give a lot of credit to Koby Altman for having gathered the talents we have in Cleveland. Indeed, it is also a great success for the Cleveland franchise which had been castigated for having separated from JB Bickerstaff last summer, despite the continuous progression of the team for four seasons. The initial idea was to cross a level to this team. The mission has been more than successful so far, now remains to be confirmed in Playoffs.
