Despite everything, he believes that the club has managed to keep a form of balance. “There was a financial aspect which came into account during the summer, at the time of the start of the championship. I was just explained to me that it was necessary to sell. (…) From that moment, you know that you have sporting objectives where you will have to adapt,” he explains, in words reported by La Voix du Nordaware of the limits imposed in the first weeks. Europe is far away

The coach highlights the stability brought by certain executives of the workforce, while emphasizing the progressive change of the locker room. The RC Lens, currently 9th in the ranking, is not far from Brest, its opponent of the weekend. A victory could gain a place in the Sang and Gold, but Europe now seems difficult to achieve. By drawing up a first assessment, Still does not hide a form of frustration, especially on the missing offensive efficiency which, according to him, cost several places in the classification. “I think we are missing 13 to 14 goals. (…) I'm not saying it's a good season, but it's not the worst in history either.”

The former coach of the Reims stadium, which turned out to the general public thanks to an impressive series of invincibility in 2022-2023, still retains a medium-term vision. He believes that the work done this season could lay solid foundations for the future of the Artesian club. “We have given a real opportunity so that the club could grow in the coming years.” Asked about the continuation, Will Still hopes more stability and an aligned project at all levels. The site is announced as important. “This summer, we will have the opportunity to start on a new cycle. (…) Everyone must be aligned.” If he does not want to project himself too quickly, he admits that it will be necessary, at one point, to join the idea of ​​preparing the next season. But without falling into the precipitation trap. “We are not going to say that we must absolutely have eleven young people play if young people are not ready. We will not burn the steps either.”
