OM continues its quest at the Champions League. Victorious Saturday evening at home against Montpellier (5-1), the Phocaeans resumed second place in the championship, when there are only four games left for the men of Roberto de Zerbi this season.
OM was to react on Saturday evening against Montpellier after the heavy defeat against AS Monaco the previous week in Ligue 1 (3-0). And the Phocaeans did it brilliantly, by winning largely in front of the Red Lantern of Ligue 1 (5-1). A successful collective performance which does the greatest good to the men of Roberto de Zerbi, who took advantage of this success to take over the second place in the championship after the draw between AS Monaco and the RC Strasbourg (0-0).
The beautiful weekend operation therefore for the Marseillais, who must now keep this Paris Saint-Germain dolphin square, and which would send OM directly to the Champions League at the end of the season. This last approach, and there are only four games left to play for Adrien Rabiot's teammates in this 2024/25 exercise. The latter have their destiny in their hands, and will have to be impeccable in the coming weeks.
