ASVEL, the Villeurbanne basketball club has put SKWEEK, one of its sponsors, for non-compliance with their contract, confirming information from the newspaper Progress. ASVEL has asked the platform belonging to the Fedcom group “to honor its commitments by reserving the law, if this should not be the case to prosecute it in court,” wrote the regional daily newspaper on Wednesday. Fedcom and the Villeurbannais club, which confirmed the information, did not wish to comment.
The ASVEL had signed a sponsorship contract with Fedcom up to seven million euros per year for three seasons, then reduced to 2.9 million per year, the Progress had still indicated in March. But the group had then paid only 1.7 million euros at that time for the 2023/2024 season, and had not yet paid for the current season according to the National Directorate of Council and Management Control (DNCCG).
Parker has already “returned to the pot” to finance the club
