Georgia Women’s Tennis: A Championship Season

In a historic achievement for the University of Georgia, three of its premier athletic programs—Georgia Baseball, Georgia Women’s Tennis, and Georgia Women’s Track & Field and Cross Country—have simultaneously ascended to the No. 1 national ranking. This trifecta of excellence underscores the Bulldogs’ commitment to athletic prowess and institutional excellence.

The Georgia women’s tennis team capped off a stellar season by clinching the 2025 NCAA Division I Women’s Tennis Championship. In a decisive 4-0 victory over defending champions Texas A&M, the Bulldogs secured their third national title in program history, adding to their previous championships in 1994 and 2000 .

Under the leadership of head coach Drake Bernstein, the team showcased resilience and dominance throughout the tournament. Notably, the Bulldogs maintained an undefeated record in tournament-style play this spring, finishing 13-0 .
